I always considered my life as a wife and mom to be just like everyone else, with one exception. People I met (especially women) would always comment to me about how “in shape” or “fit” I was and ask what was my secret to staying in such great shape? At that moment, I would always want to say, “What secret? Living a fit lifestyle is something that every women has the power to do and create for her family. Why do so many women think that being strong and looking fit is some higher power they can never attain?” When I would try to explain my workout or diet routine, women would say, “Oh, you’re crazy I could never do that.” And I started to realize, when it comes to fitness, maybe I am a little crazy – more than most people – but why can’t everyone find their own version of a fit lifestyle? You don’t have to be a personal trainer or a nutrition expert. You just need a little knowledge, planning and the will to make a change. That’s where I come in. Fitness and nutrition is my passion. I have spent over 20 years making it part of my and my family’s daily life. It is not always easy, but with a little planning, you can create a healthy lifestyle that is all your own and trust me, the benefits are well worth it. Remember, it is never too soon or too late to start living better, stronger and teach your kids the good habits to do the same. The key is knowing that there is no “one right way” to live healthy. Your fit lifestyle should be something that is both realistic and manageable for you. All you need is a little knowledge and the right tools to get started. I can give you both!
Almost every woman I talk to about fitness and nutrition will tell you that they want to do more and eat better. So why don’t they? The answer is always the same (say it with me) “I don’t have time”. This is a universal problem that we all have. I have lived the life of a busy mom and I can help you create a healthy lifestyle that fits your family. I truly believe that anyone, from over-stressed moms, to moody teenagers, can find a way not to simply make more trips to the gym but more importantly, create a fuller and healthier lifestyle with a lot more benefits and a little less stress!
